Sang Pangeran Cinta!!
Wow...APM was great. I finally got to see Dewa perform LIVE!! Wow...im telling u i've never been that excited before. While the people around me were screaming for Siti Nurhaliza and some singers i dun really knoe...I juz couldnt wait to see Dewa. Not that i don't support Siti Nurhaliza.
But c'mon people....This is Dewa we're talking about! The Music Geniuses from Indonesia! AHMAD DHANI! Can u believe it? Most of the people around us didn't even know who Dewa was! When the presenter was going to give out the "Anugerah Khas APM" (an award for musicians who have contributed ALOT to the music industry), i knew it was Dewa the moment she mentioned it's a group from Indonesia. This award probably meant nothing to them coz they've won thousands of other awards like that. They've been around for 19 years and their songs are pure magic.
-Have ever loved a song so much that every time you listen to it, it just touches your heart and soul and all you can do is close your eyes and feel it? Well that's the effect they have on me-
Anyway, the presenter was goin on about this "kelompok" or band and how much they've contributed to the music industry..but still not revealing the name of the band. My body was already shaking and my heart was pounding so fast it was gonna pop out. Then BOOM! Their faces came on the large screens...people still had no idea who they were but i juz couldnt hold back my adrenaline rush! I shouted "Dewa!!" while everyone else was quiet....hahaha that was hilarious. People turned to look at me like i was some crazy woman. Well, everybody was juz sitting still..not even clapping! In Indonesia, the reaction from the crowd would've been more happening! So i HAD to show my support even if i was the only one. My sister too, of course.
And then they came on stage to take their award! WOW....i was awe-struck. That's THEM...on stage..right in front of my eyes! DEWA. They sure are "dewa"s to me...

Then it was their turn to perform...they performed "Pangeran Cinta" & "Pupus"...it was beautiful. Even my mom agreed! Mas Dhani, Once, Tyo, Andra & Yuke...DEWA. My support for you will never die!

it was pretty okay. Although usually, we would expect the young teenagers to be the rowdier ones...u knoe, screaming unnecessarily..juz making lots of noise. However, last night, the rowdy ones were the old people...people as old as my parents! Older, in fact! It was exasperating. At least i onli shouted when Dewa was on stage..but they were shouting & screaming non-stop...challenging each other. People from the back, and people in my row...all supposed "mature adults". It was quite amusing at first..but it got to my nerves eventually. But its okay..i let it all out when Dewa were performing :D

Bhumi Band did Singapore really proud. They were really good and won 3 awards...a first for Singapore, i think. They're performance was impressive. CONGRATS BHUMI BAND...
I had a great time. How could i not? Dewa & Bhumi band in one night! and to top it off i got to take a picture with Awi Rafael :)
And guess what? That's not the end of it...there's the concert next Sunday. DEWA & BHUMI BAND! CAN'T WAIT!

Pangeran Cinta
That last post was uncalled for. PMS lah people....understand-derstood
lah k. Anyway..im excited coz im goin to APM tomorrow. Im finally goin to get to see Dewa perform LIVE! okay details...
APM - Anugerah Planet Muzik
I knoe there are probably people (people i know a.k.a certain friends of mine) thinking that this event is "pathetic" coz it is so "malay". Well if u dun like it then shut ur trap coz i never asked for your opinion. I happen to be proud to be a malay despite the catastrophic invasion of the double "m"s....mats n minahs dat is but that's another complicated issue i'd like to stay away from.
The main reason why i'm goin is to support Dewa. So, doesnt matter if i don't really know the other celebrities who are going to be there. oh and another band i'm gonna support is this local band "Bhumi Band"..i think they're quite good.
I'm also goin to their concert next Sunday at Fort Canning Green. Can't wait...
However, i know im goin to get over it soon. This happens to me alot...i get so hyped up & excited and can't stop thinking bout it. Then when i finally get over it...it'll be like it never happened and i never cared if it did. Haha..like last year's LP gig. Gosh...i'm not a HEEUUGGEE LP fan lah ok..but a few days after da gig i was still all hyped up over them and spent over $20 on their Live in Texas CD. $20...boy, was i regretting it a week after that. $20.....
Had a great time today at the airport with Shahidah. 'Cept for the part where she blames me for making her choke on her Vanilla Cappucino when i told an "untimely joke". Honestly, i didnt think it would be that funny! She was taking a sip..i made a comment...when she suddenly started coughing really bad and her body was shaking and she was covering her face which was so obviously red and her eyes were tearing. And she started grabbing the napkins on the table and covering her mouth like she was gonna puke. I PANICKED LIKE HELL! After more coughs and tears...she actually continued laughing. And i was like, "eh..are u okay?? Im so sorry! I didn't think it would be that funny!..." *Sigh* Oh well...at least she's fine now..THANK GOD.

I am so tired of the world. So tired of life...of humankind..of the animosity. Sometimes i wish i can just stop living this disguisting world and just live for God. It makes me sick. I'm feeling sick. What's gotten into me? Must be pms-ing. *sigh* i dunno y but i leave the house and i get disguisted every time a human walk past. Then i realise that im human too. At that moment, my heart will start beating fast, my mind...blank. My guts want out. Disguist. Humans....i get all nervous when i'm around them. You never know what they'll do to you. Sometimes i just wanna run somewhere safe and curl up. Be safe. From what? I don't know...But do such a place still exist on this place we call Earth?....every inch of the earth has been kissed by Vulnerability. You just never know....never....know. Allahuakbar.

So much has happened! anyway, i haven't been updating my blog coz my comp was down..still is actually. Basically...SO MUCH has happened.
UPDATE:
Retail Therapy. Purchased lots of merchandise for moi. Gorgeous shoes..*swoon* Finally got an iPod mini. A pink one ;)
I went to this concert by my former school's concert band. nothing interesting...
I also went to this gig over the weekend at the Esplanade, "MOCCA & Friends"....
-fyi, im a LIVE music enthusiast. Jazz, Bossa Nova, Indie, Electronica....music basically. Where there's good live music, chances are that's where i'll be. GOOD Live music-
Anyway, that's not the point. I was at the gig right....then i saw him!!! OMG....i was juz talking to my sis bout him and Ahmad Dhani (about him later)..and then i saw him! haha..i was excited...im not gonna mention WHO HE is though..na'ah. Now, what in the world do i SEE in him?
Ahmad Dhani is of course, the super-talented guy from Dewa.
-fyi, i luv Indo bands- Otherwise known as Dhani Manaf. He has his own production house, and he writes almost all their songs. And he's married with 3 children...haha. But the point is he is an inspirational figure. To know more about him and the band, feel free to check out www.dewa19.com
They're having a concert here at the end of the month. Of Course i've bought the tix! They're awesome. Did i tell u that the band itself is a year older than me? haha..yep they are. They've been around for 19 years. Long Live Dewa! Their latest hit is "Pangeran Cinta". Go check it out!
